WHAT'S A TYPICAL SUNDAY MORNING LIKE?

We offer three Sunday morning services.  Our 8am service offers a contemporary worship style.  Our 9:30am service is a bit more traditional worship style and our 11am service is contemporary with drums and electric guitar.

We offer Sunday School for all ages at 9:30am with child care for ages 0-3 during all services.
We ask that kids are 3yrs old by Sept. 1st and potty trained to go to the Preschool Sunday School class; otherwise, they are welcome in the Nursery.

We would love for you to join us for delicious donuts, muffins, apple fritters and other sweets, juice, chocolate milk, and coffee in the Fellowship Hall between services.

HOW DO I GET THERE?

We are located at 408 Elm St W. in Detroit Lakes, MN.  Click here to see a map.

ARE YOUR FACILITIES HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBLE?

Yes! The entire building is on one level.

WHERE DO I PARK? WHICH DOOR SHOULD I ENTER?

Park where ever is most convenient for you. There are two entrances. On Sunday mornings we only use the east entrance under the awning. During the week if you have any office inquiries use the south entrance under the awning. There are handicapped parking spaces at either entrance and special needs parking spaces near the front door. These spaces are for anyone that needs them. For example: moms with small children, pregnant women, elderly, etc.

WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS? IS THERE CHILDCARE?

Each and every week, we offer nursery for children newborn to three years old during
all three morning services. We have added a "pager system", so after you check your child in, you will receive a pager to take with you into church or Sunday School. This, first and foremost, adds to your child's safety. It also really adds to the
communication between nursury workers and parents. So, if your child should need you during the service, we can simply press a button and your pager will silently notify you.  For more information about Sunday School classes for various ages,
what time and room they are located in, see "What's a typical Sunday morning like?"

WHERE DO I GO?

We often offer both worship services and adult Sunday School classes at 8am, 9:30am, and 11am. You are welcome to join any of them! You will find different styles of worship in each service and we try to keep a variety of Sunday School classes to offer you choices each Sunday.

WHAT DO I WEAR?

On any given Sunday at Community Alliance Church, you will find our regular attenders in a wide variety of clothing. You will most definitely find T-shirts and jeans as well as dressier clothes. In fact, you may see the same person in dress clothes one week and in shorts the next. We want you to know that you are free to come in whatever you are most comfortable in.

WHAT TYPES OF SERVICES DO YOU OFFER?

We believe that real worship comes from your heart. Although it matters more what attitude you come to church with, we want to provide you with the best opportunity possible to have your heart in a place to really worship. That being said, we offer more of a contemporary service at 8am. This includes more upbeat music, usually including a full band with electric guitar and drums. Our 9:30am service is a traditional service with a piano and voices leading hymns & praise choruses. Our 11am service is again, a more contemporary style.

WILL I BE EXPECTED TO GIVE MONEY?

During each service there is a time to worship God through the giving of tithes and offerings. This is an act of worship and obedience to God for our members and friends (who consider CAC their church home). As a guest, please do not feel any pressure or obligation to give.
